Core wedge page
Custom RF connectors
When the standard part is close but not right, Browning should make the custom path feel normal. This page is the connector-side wedge for exact-mate problems, packaging constraints, harsh environments, repeated failure cost, and modified-standard needs.
Use Browning when
- The standard connector mates but creates risk elsewhere in the system.
- The job needs a different mounting, sealing, cable transition, plating, or mechanical constraint.
- The fit problem is technical and expensive enough that guessing is worse than asking.
Common custom triggers
- Exact mating requirements with poor standard options.
- Panel, enclosure, or board packaging constraints.
- Harsh-environment or weather-exposed connections.
- Repeated-service, strain-relief, or serviceability issues.
- Modified-standard needs where a fresh clean-sheet design is not required.
What to send
- Drawing, sketch, or mating-part reference.
- Environment and sealing constraints.
- Mounting and material constraints.
- Quantity, timing, and any failed standard part context.
Proof gap: solved-job examples
Public custom-job stories should be added once Browning provides anonymized examples with a real technical constraint, the standard-part failure or fit issue, Browning's intervention, and the resulting risk reduced.
